Bear Wood Company is an awesome locally owned business that got its start right here on Main Street in Hurricane! Check out this recent WCHS Eyewitness News story (link at bottom of post) on Bear Wood and owner, Matt.
Last Saturday (May 3, 2025), Matt opened the doors to his shop and dozens of visitors stopped by and set up to paint during our Main Street Spring Festival. Fairy doors were decorated -- some for the Valley Park, WV's Fairy Door Trail and some for folks to take home! 🧚♀️NOTE: If you've never been to the Fairy Door Trail, the mural below is a quick landmark to where it begins near the parking area in the back of Valley Park.
Bear Wood Company also offers Workshop Tours where you can get a behind-the-scenes look at how all those awesome reclaimed wood gifts are made! (Call in advance if you have a large school/business/organization, but you and a friend/family member could stop by anytime and ask for a tour!)
